New Ferrari FF Tames Mountain

What a sight for the locals. The Ferrari FF has conquered the mountains of Madonna di Campiglio. This four-seater, four-wheel-drive, predator – in the hands of Formula One maestros Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa – roared through a snow-covered slalom course. Power came courtesy of its 6.3-litre 630bhp V12 engine, that propelled torque to the wheels via seven-speed duel-clutch automatic transmission. This beast also has witchcraft-inspired electronics that sent varying amounts of power to each corner, according to the conditions. Clearly, the FF is one of the most versatile performance cars in the world.

The race ended in a “perfect dead heat” and Alonso could barely contain his enthusiasm. He said: “It’s incredible how easy it is to drive the FF even on such a demanding surface and - at the same time - how high-a-performance level you can reach in it.” Massa (unsurprisingly) shared Alsono's perspective. He added: “the most incredible thing about the car is the fact there is no need to compromise maximum performance and usability, whatever the driving environment.” Good stuff, but how about a rematch in old Fiat Puntos?
